Completion of the total restoration of Racing Associates #46 Watson Roadster came in the early fall of 2009 and A. J. Watson made arrangements with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to turn the car back over to car owner George Lyons at the track.

On a beautiful sunny Indiana fall day in October, the meticulously restored Roadster was trailored from Watson's shop to the Speedway for a memorable photo session with IMS staff photographers.

It was the first time this car crossed "The Yard of Bricks" since 1966 when it was the last Watson Roadster to ever participate in the Indy 500. Along with George, a good number of AJ's long term friends and others that were involved in the restoration joined together that morning to see the completed car one last time before it headed for George's home in Erie, Pa.

It seemed right that this "Twice Blessed" Watson Roadster should have the Brickyard all to itself with its creator and restorers this one special time.
